Also for this audio card the following is targeted:
providing of high quality on the level of up-to-date
audio technology at an especially attractive price.
The PCI card will especially be created for users who
require a small amount of analog inputs and outputs but
in high quality. Beside the ability to record and
playback audio signals on up to four channels, the MARC 4
DIGI offers an optical S/PDIF digital port. The MARC 4
DIGI can be
upgraded using the
optical extender board with an electrical S/PDIF
and AES/EBU via RCA and XLR as well as a Word Clock In port.
MARC 4 DIGI hardware is prepared for the ASIO-IN-HARDWARE feature. This can be used
for direct access to the card memory using any ASIO recording
software. This feature will be available fully functional with
future driver updates.

Stereo Analog I/Os
Four analog mono inputs and outputs. A/D and D/A converters
of the well-known manufacturer AKM operate each at a maximum of
24 bit/96 kHz and ensure professional audio values in connection
with a sound optimized hardware design.
The signal-to-noise ratio amounts to approx. 96 dB. THD+N:
0.005%.
frequency range: 20-20,000 Hz (at 96 kHz-40,000 Hz)

Stereo-I/O
The card has optical inputs and outputs for S/PDIF. They can be
operated upto 24 bit and 96 kHz. This way high-quality external
converter or signal processors can transfer data without losses
in quality using dithering or resampling.
Additionally the card provides a connector for an internal
digital audio CD drive.
Furthermore,
the card also contains the Software
and Hardware Features specific to MARIAN products.

Multi-Card
Operation and Drivers
|
In
a system upto 4 cards can be operated simultaneously requiring
only one installed driver. This driver in connection with the
synchronization bus allows a perfect synchronization of all
installed cards.
Modular driver dialogs allow displaying and manipulating of
numerous parameters, including accurate level meters,
flexible monitoring and synchronization settings.
The cards has a highly developed multi-client driver architecture, which
allows extremely low latencies (up to 2 ms) with ASIO, GSIF and DirectSound. Because of this it is
especially tremendously suitable for time critical applications,
such as using the Cubase VST SoftSynths.
The driver supports reading of DAT-Markers. This highly
simplifies your work with CD-Premasters on DAT tapes.
